Privacy Policy
The protection of your personal data matters to us. This policy explains what data we process, for what purposes and what your rights are, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Data controller
Golden Wine GmbH · Mühlweg 4 · D-77749 Hohberg – Germany. Email: contact@golden-wine.ch.
The data we collect
We collect only the data necessary for our business relationship: first and last name, delivery address, telephone number, email address and information relating to your orders (products, amounts, history). To this is added technical data gathered during your visit (IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed) via cookies and audience measurement tools, within the limits of your consent.
Why we use it
Your data is used in particular to process and deliver your orders, to manage the customer relationship, invoicing and payment, to respond to your requests, to ensure the security and proper functioning of the site and, where you have consented, to carry out audience measurement or to send you commercial communications. Depending on the processing concerned, it is based in particular on the performance of the contract, compliance with our legal obligations, our legitimate interest or your consent.
Data sharing
We never sell your data. It may be passed to our technical service providers only to the extent necessary for the operation of the site and the processing of your order, under a confidentiality undertaking: our host OVH (data hosted in Europe) and, subject to your consent, Google Analytics for audience measurement (Google LLC, which may process data in the United States, on the basis of the appropriate safeguards provided for by the regulations). No other advertising or profiling tool (Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google Ads) is used. You may refuse non-essential cookies via the banner provided for this purpose, and write to us at contact@golden-wine.ch with any questions.
Retention period
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and then for the periods required by the applicable legal, tax, accounting or contractual obligations. On expiry of these periods, the data is deleted or anonymised, unless a legal obligation provides otherwise.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable legislation, you may in particular have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection, as well as, where the legal conditions are met, a right to the portability of your data. Where processing is based on your consent, this may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before its withdrawal. To exercise your rights: contact@golden-wine.ch.
Data protection authority
You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority: in Germany, the authority responsible for the registered office of Golden Wine GmbH; in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), where applicable.
